Dari-Ripple in Belvidere

I moved to Belvidere last Sept. Heard about Dari Ripple's pineapple dole whip. OMG, it's amazing. They have 2 sizes, priced right and so, so delicious. My friend also gets her dog treats from here to. Shs says he loves them. This is a great place, friendly staff, good ice cream and doggie treats

When I was a child I used to go to a chain dairy store run by some self appointed queen but back then it had the feel of Dari Ripple today. Dari Ripple is not only a great value but a friendly place to share a cone with family and friends. Other places have turned into another commercial chain but Dari Ripple reminds me of those days where my parents would give me a dollar to go pick something off the menu. Dari ripple understands that and takes you back to the days of family run ice cream. Go check them out and enjoy a stroll along the river. Spend that quality time at a quality ice cream store.

The updates they made to the sitting area are very good. It is much cleaner and welcoming. Of course, the ice cream is Fantastic! Many choices

My wife and I ordered what we wanted and was told that they were out of vanilla ice cream. Then we ordered something different to find out they were out of something for that. After our 3rd round of ordering we finally found something that they had all the ingredients for. What we ended up getting wasnt what we wanted but it was still good. If your out of something someone should display that on the board so that people know. Simple 2 second sign put up could really speed things along in the ordering line. Maybe they are closing soon for the season and want to run out of everything?

Always great to stop on the Harley and grab a cone and sit on the bridge.

The soft serve is pretty decent but the ice cream was underwhelming. Friendly staff.

After shopping we stop for dessert pineapple strawberry whip twist was great and so has and so wasn't the butter pecan ice creams my dad really enjoy that

Tastes as good as it looks . Fair priced home made ice cream . Can't go wrong .. will never eat a soft serve cone again .

If you asked me 15 years ago, it would of been 5 stars, but times have been tough on the Dari Ripple. Maybe its different owners or new product, but its not the same at all. The flavors are bland. The signage is also lacking making it easy to order

Ok , other then I didn't get my water. But it was a GREAT , GREAT Roast Beef Sandwich.

Great easy going service lots of options and pretty cheap for great ice cream and hot food

As a family it was very reminiscent of those days gone by. When life was new and exciting. It reminded me of being a kid again. The selections were great. And the prices made it affordable enough, to take your family and not feel like it cost you an arm and a leg. After church, it was just the perfect ending. So pleased, I even let the kids eat in the car.🙃

Great ice cream good place to take your dog to sit down Outside and enjoy

Very, very nice place, to have a nice ice cream on a hotdat.

Ice cream is great the service is slow they where only taking orders from one window and had a few people making the orders and they where so slow handing out the orders. They must have forgotten they made out sundaes because when we got them they where partly melted. We didnt want to ask them to remake them took them over 15 mins to get them out the 1st time.

I absolutely love Dari Ripple!! They have a wonderful staff that provides awesome customer service. I love their wide selection of ice cream treats and food. By far the BEST ice cream place in Belvidere!!!

Not very expensive, unlike some other places in town. This business has been in this town for almost 100 years and I can see why. The ice cream is delicious, the ice cream shop is right next to a beautiful riverfront park with a playground and shelter. Yes, the wait can be long because they usually only have one cashier open and there is usually about 15 people in a line on weekdays and 20-30 people on weekends, but trust me when I say, the wait is well worth it.

Great drive up! Extensive menu. Sandwiches, soft serve, hard icecream sundaes even sone dairy free options! Love there Dole whip.

Omg the best in Belvidere

Great small town ice cream store.

I used to love Dari Ripples dipped cones but ever since they got new people running it their dipped cones suck. They don't dip it enough and I asked them to dip it more and at first they told me no but then they did and acted like it wasn't their job to do their job right. I do not recommend going there if you want good ice cream that doesn't fall apart and is made correctly.

There was a line but it moved quickly. Cheerful employees. The pineapple floats were awesome!

Friendly employees that are quick and precise with orders. New items that have been added to the menu have been delicious as well!

I have been going to Dari Ripple for over 30 years now. My only complaint is they tend to use that fake machine Ice Cream in all their shakes and malts. I even requested REAL ice cream for my malts with extra malts and they STILL used the machine ice cream. Otherwise, I have no complaints about anything. I do, however, think customers need to be more curtious when waiting for their numbers to be called for their order. Don't stand in front of the serving window like an entitled child. Stand back like everyone else and wait for your number to be called. And, please, pay attention. I have seen people complain about their order taking forever yet I heard their number called 3 times while they were playing with their phone. Pay attention, people. Have a good day.

Excellent treat for a hot summer day! Portions are large, and quality was great. Great location with lots of outdoor seating overlooking the river.

Slim on staffing so be prepared to wait. Ice cream was good and area was clean.

Great hometown ice cream store! We ordered everything from Dole dairy free to soft serve to two scoops of hard blue moon. Everyone was happy.

Great place to grab a yummy treat! Out furbabies love getting their pup cups!! Their picnic tables in the back need a little work...and maybe post some signs about people picking up after their dogs. 🤨
